I come from abroad, how is the whole procedure planned?

International customers must first get in touch with us for an online consultation.

At this time you can ask necessary questions regarding treatment, size of the operated area, cost and other practical necessities. After a verbal agreement, your treatment will be confirmed by e-mail.

In this document we confirm the number of grafts, number of treatment days, your date of treatment and the necessary pre-operative instructions.

Your treatment date will be booked and confirmed on the moment of the payment of the deposit fee.

Our staff can also arrange for the transport from the clinic to the airport. On request we can reserve your hotel room for the night before and the night (s) after your surgery.

You are free to arrange all these details yourself should you choose so, but keep in mind to book your flight and hotel on time to avoid unpleasant surprises with regard to additional costs.

Do you also perform corrective surgeries?

Yes. The result of a hair transplant is not always to the satisfaction of the client, for example, because of an unnatural hairline or a too low hair density, visible scars on the donor area or other realistic reasons.

You can also think of corrections of scarring after burns. These are just some examples regarding the applicability of the reconstructive hair surgery.

What are the costs and can I pay in installments?

During the free consultation we will make an estimation of the required number of hair follicles (grafts) needed to achieve the most realistic objective. The number of hair follicles needed varies depending on the extent of your situation, hair quality and your personal preferences.

Depending on this number, we can predetermine the approximate cost of the surgery. A natural result of the front can usually be achieved in one treatment. At a later stage, subsequent treatments take place in order to optimally increase the density or to treat progressive baldness. Payment in installments is not possible at our clinic. There are several financial institutions that offer this option, but please keep in mind that borrowing money may be a costly option in the end. If you want to cover your costs with your credit card (American Express; Visa; Master Card; Maestro etc.) we ask you to pay with PayPal.

How long does the healing process take?

In the case of FUE or iFUE the tiny wounds heal after 2 to 3 days. Usually there is nothing more visible after a week of our hair transplant treatment. For optimal recovery process, you are advised to avoid strenuous activities and very dusty rooms for 7 to 10 days.

Is everybody suitable for a hair transplant treatment?

Almost anyone can be treated. Whether it makes sense or not, is something that you can discuss with the doctor during your initial (online) consultation.

There are some exceptions which we discourage a hair transplant, such as hair loss based on a disease (such as alopecia areata) or certain medications.

Does a Hair transplant hurt?

Not really. For your own comfort the whole area is locally anaesthetized.

Who performs the treatment?

Your treatment is always performed by the Hair Transplant surgeon and a highly specialized medical team.

All our technicians have each at least more than 15 years experience in Hair Restoration. The ultimate success of your hair transplantation is dependent on the entire team.

Are the results of a hair transplant natural and aesthetically pleasing?

We strive to provide a state-of-the-art treatment with every surgery and to deliver a natural result. This applies not only to the implanted hairs, but also for the donor zone.

How long will the implanted hair grow?

The transplanted hairs contain the genetic characteristics of the donor area, and they will continue to grow a lifetime.

What kind of hair density can be achieved in a treatment?

For a beautiful aesthetic result, the hair density is very important. Too low hair density gives indeed a less than satisfactory result. A high density of number of grafts per cm2 is called ‘Dense  packing’. That means there are 45-50 grafts implanted per cm². Densities above 50-60 grafts per cm² are labeled as “Ultra dense packing”.

These high densities are suitable for candidates who suffer from small bald areas or where baldness is progressive in nature. Whether you are a suitable candidate for this, depends on many factors. During the consultation meeting, we go deeper into this.

The Eberson Hair Clinic is one of the few clinics in Europe that actually is able to achieve very high hair density, in a single session.

Many clinics claim to achieve these densities but in reality it looks like they are not willing or not able to implement such promises in practice.

Do I always have to shave completely for a hair transplant?

Normally in an ordinary FUE treatment your hair must be completely shaved. However, this is not always necessary. For example, at our clinic women are not required to be completely shaved.

In practice we offer various no-shaving techniques which allow the coverage of the donor area immediately after treatment.

How many grafts can be transplanted per day?

Dr. Eberson and his team can, under ideal conditions, transplant up to 2000 grafts (4500 +/- hair) per day, using the FUE method. This number does not only depend in part on the number of available grafts but also on the quality of the grafts in the available donor area.

The FUE treatment is very labor-intensive and therefore it can take several days to complete.

We choose to carry out proper specific treatment sizes for both the treatment zone as well as the donor area to minimize the stress as much as possible and to ensure a speedy recovery.

Within one week, you can get back to your regular daily schedule.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment time of an operation depends on the gradation characteristic of your baldness and the complexity of the required treatment.

Normally a hair transplant lasts anywhere from 5 to 8 hours, and the larger sessions are sometimes spread over two days of treatment.

How many hair grafts are required for my treatment?

This is one of the most essential questions for your treatment but it can not be directly answered without a personal consultation with our specialist. The number of hair grafts available for transplant ultimately depends on the quality and structure of your hair.

Thick dark hair often gives more coverage than fine, light colored hair.

Further, the amount depends also on the degree of hair loss and hair density you want to achieve.

During your first online consult or free consultation in person, we determine the extent of the treatment size and all other necessary requirements.

Which hair transplant method you use in practice?

In our clinic we treat our patients using the Follicular Unit Extraction or the intermittent Follicular Unit Extraction method, which is the most advanced and surgery-friendly hair transplant method.

Using this technique, the grafts (each graft comprises of 1 to 4 hair follicles) are extracted one by one from the donor area (usually from the sides and the back of the head) with utmost precision and care and then transplanted onto the bald areas.
